MEMBERSHIP FEE SCHEDULE
2.1 Overview and Policy
The Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (CILG) is a professional body whose financial sustainability depends on the contribution of its members through membership subscriptions, upgrade fees, and other professional services charges. All fees collected are used exclusively to fund the delivery of CILG qualifications, professional development services, member benefits, regulatory compliance, and the advancement of the profession.
The CILG fee structure is reviewed annually by the CILG Finance Committee and ratified by the Board of Governors. Fee revisions are communicated to all members at least ninety (90) days before they take effect. The fee schedule set out in this section represents the standard fee schedule for the 2024 financial year.
Membership Upgrade Fees
The Membership Upgrade Fee is a one-time charge payable at the point of application for progression to a new membership grade. This fee covers the administrative cost of application processing, qualification verification, evidence assessment, and conferral of the new grade.

Annual Membership Subscription Fees
The Annual Membership Subscription is a recurring charge payable each year to maintain active CILG membership in good standing. Subscriptions fund the ongoing delivery of member services, CPD resources, publications, regulatory functions, and the CILG's professional advocacy work.
- Annual subscriptions fall due on the 1st of January each year (or on the anniversary of membership for new members joining mid-year).
- A grace period of thirty (30) days is provided after the due date before any lapse penalties apply.
- Members who have not paid by the end of the grace period will receive a formal reminder and a further fourteen (14) days to pay.
- Membership is placed in 'Lapsed' status after forty-four (44) days of non-payment from the due date.
- Lapsed members may not use CILG post-nominal designations and lose access to member benefits.
- Monthly installment payment options are available for Associate, Full Member, and Fellow grades — apply to Membership Services.
- Student Members do not pay an annual subscription; their membership is maintained through active enrollment in CILG qualification modules.
