Eligibility Criteria:

The Associate Membership (ACILG) of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance is designed for professionals who have begun establishing themselves in leadership or governance roles and seek formal recognition of their skills, expertise, and commitment to ethical practice.   2. Professional Experience:
    • Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable professional experience in leadership, governance, managerial, or administrative roles.

The Full Membership (MCILG) grade recognizes professionals who have attained a high level of expertise, experience, and ethical standing in leadership, governance, or related specializations.     • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Leadership, Governance, Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
    • Degrees must provide sufficient grounding in leadership theory, governance principles, and strategic organizational management.
  2. Professional Experience:
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of leadership, managerial, or governance experience in professional settings.
    • Experience should demonstrate responsibility for teams, projects, policy implementation, or governance initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  3. Professional Development:
    • Completion of advanced leadership or governance training accredited by CILG or recognized partner institutions.
  4. Ethical Standing:
    • Adherence to the CILG Code of Conduct with a verifiable record of integrity, accountability, and professional responsibility.

Eligibility and Requirements for Fellowship (FCILG)

The path to becoming a Fellow of CILG is both selective and merit-based. It requires demonstrated academic excellence, leadership achievement, and societal contribution at the highest level.

To be considered for Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Academic Requirement:
  • Hold a Doctorate degree (PhD, DBA, EdD, or equivalent terminal degree) from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • The academic achievement must be supported by a proven record of research, publication, or contribution to professional knowledge in leadership, governance, or management.
  1. Professional Experience:
  • Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of senior-level leadership, executive management, or governance experience in public administration, corporate management, academia, or the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrate sustained excellence in leadership, organizational transformation, and strategic governance.
  1. Professional and Social Contribution:
